Phnong ethnic village

When visiting Mondulkiri, you can not miss the village of Phnong ethnic people who live in middle of the Mondulkiri Protected Forest, on the fringe of the Phnom Pich Wildlife Sanctuary. This world biodiversity hotspot is home to a large population of wide animal and is a prime tiger landscape. Just drop by the village and the Phnong people will guide you into the jungle to discover its rich fauna and flora and to see honey gathering.

The Phnong are animists and upon entering each local house, you can find the jaws of animals, fruits, roots hanging above the door. This is to protect their family against demons and devils in their beliefs.
